Weird iOS 8 contact photo bug?

In iOS 8, quick toggles were added to the multitasking pane for easier access to contacts.

However, whenever I assign a photo to a contact, the photo will always get "pushed" up. Say a portrait, when I align it to match the face, moments later the circle photo will be "pushed" up to show the body instead of the face.

Is anyone else facing the same problem?

I think your photo resolution isn't large enough.

Tried a few, same issue. All the photos were taken straight from the iPhone 5s itself.
