Hi there,

First off, Specs as follows,

i7 3770 + GA-Z77X-UD3H (R1.0) + CM212
16gb ripjawsX 1600
MSI 970 twinfrozr gaming
1 x Evo 850 SSD 250GB
2 x HDDs (Hitatchi, Seagate) totaling 1.5TB
Seasonic X850

Problem:

It happened a week ago when i noticed that whenever I press the front panel power button, it takes 1-2 seconds for the system to boot (ie. fans spinning, LED on)

It got worst progressively until two days ago when it just didn't want to boot up at all (Power button inside mobo still lights up though), I fixed it by plugging in and out the power supply, and subsequently shutting down and restarting consecutively works, so I thought it was just a one off thing.

However, when I came back from work the next day (about 20hours of shut down, 13A supply still connected though), the same problem persisted and the same solution helped again.

I then proceeded to dig out my old Corsair HX620 PSU, connected it, shut down the PC and went to bed, this morning I woke up and turned on the PC successfully, no delays/unable to boot whatsoever.

I shall test again tonight (I only slept 3 hours yesterday), once Im back from work to properly replicate the issue.

Anyway just wondering if anybody else has/had this issue as well? due to the above I'm suspecting it's my PSU, however I kinda think a faulty mobo could also be causing this.. but then again, if it really was a mobo issue, I'd reckon there should have been more problems (I run Division, Witcher 3 fine, I even did 1 cycle of a Sandra burn-in test [not much i know], no issues)

yep, thinking too much maybe. lol :s12::D

Their RMA the easiest. Any problems just change.

No need bring all the cables down also. Just receipt or the corbell warranty period sticker will do.

Always been a fan of Corsair, kay kiang kena saico by friend to try Seasonic (plus they also collaborate with Corsair).

Anyway let me try first, maybe really is not the PSU at all.

Hope you are not back to square one.

I hope so too! :s22: So annoying when there's no clear cut answers. oh wellss
