Weird pc issues, need advise

Hi all, one fine morning my pc suddenly could not start. When i turned on the pc:

1) fans running fine
2) keyboard could not toggle capslock, but could do numlock
3) mouse light on
4) optical drive responsive

However, monitor shows that it could not detect any hdmi/vga cables. I ran a test using my laptop and it wasn't cable fault.

After not using my pc for several days, I can now suddenly switch it back on!

Please advise on what hardware might be faulty

What's your PC components? And did u try other things to solve it beside testing your cable and monitor?

motherboard or graphic card issues.
RAM could be another cause of it.

i kept holding the power button to reset. tried to switch everything off for a few minutes and turning everything back on but didn't work.

cannot be miracle what, i need an explanation so that i can prevent this from happening again...

Is it that when you switch on your pc it just not displaying anything. Like your monitor not detecting any signal from your pc. Can try use your on board graphics and test if its running well. Could be gpu failing.

I assume it is running fine now or this problem only occurs randomly?

it is running fine now, and it only happened for the first time..

so what are the components u currently using? could the PSU be seasonic brand?

TS check your video card either dedicated or onboard. I have the same issued with you. Changed cable and monitor oso no use. Rest PC a few days power-on again everything ok. Next day same problem no video input.

I switch the vga cable to connect to the onboard video all ok. So finally removed the faulty dedicated card.

You could toggle capslock but not numlock? That's weird. That gives me the impression that it may be caused by your motherboard/CPU if you can't even boot to bios.

I don't think it has anything to do with your GPU or RAM. They definitely won't cause problems with toggling numlock. Does your num lock or caps lock jam or anything? Are you absolutely sure the indicator isn't faulty as well?

Try running a power cycle next time this happens and see how it goes.

yes it's seasonic. still trying to figure out my exact specs but gotta turn in alr

1) my gfx card is definitely dedicated, i've upgraded the gfx card several times since buying the cpu

2) but onboard gfx sucks, anyway to fix the problem?

well we are asking u to test using onboard system to confirm its gpu issues or mobo issues
