"I only have one hour lunch break, you know."
After laying a makeshift path on the floor with planks, the worker moved away from the resident without responding.
The resident then followed the worker to the lift and continued berating him.
"Like seriously, don't you think this is stupid? People don't need to go out of the house at 12pm ah?"
"It's really damn stupid," the resident concluded.
The video's caption stated that the resident claimed to be "stuck" in his unit for an hour due to maintenance work.

Commenters on the video slammed the resident and called him entitled.
One user also pointed out that notices for such work would have been put up, and therefore it was "just lack of awareness on the person's part".
In response to Mothership's queries, Chua Chu Kang Town Council shared that enhancement works were carried out at Block 395 Bukit Batok West Avenue 5 on Nov. 13.
Such works included applying a thin layer of floor screed to the corridors.
A week before the scheduled works, notices were displayed in advance at the block's lift lobby, informing residents that access to the corridors would be restricted.

A reminder notice was also delivered to each unit in the block to ensure every household received the alert, said Chua Chu Kang Town Council.
In addition to previous reminders, the contractor went door-to-door on the day of the works to personally notify residents, reminding them to stay in their homes during the works.
The works would take around an hour.

No concerns were raised by other residents, the town council said, and the floor screeding for the entire block was completed smoothly within the day.
"We sincerely appreciate our residents’ understanding and patience during the improvement works to enhance their living environment. The Town
