Got so bad??
I'm on Samsung chip for my iPhone 6s Plus RG and seem like the battery life is quite good.
Dropped only 15% for the past 4 hours.
Activities are surfing, light YouTubing and whatapps/telegram.

Is this consider normal or battery draining??

Both TSMC and Samsung 6S/6S+ will warm up. It's ok, esp if you are using the phone to message/surfing and fbing.

Its not samsung chip is bad ...its just that tsmc chip gives more battery life at same performance . Why not?

Apple probably knew the specifications and testings results from the start too.

Check this article comparing both TSMC and Samsung A9 chip which I think is the fairest and non bias out of all publish articles, it's actually quite similar and even better than TSMC, anyway don't feel sad if yours is build by Samsung, the difference is not that much, it's overhyped by media. The setting, the apps installed, the background apps, brightness all affect each device during the test. So just enjoy your dear iPhone 6s series.

All different testing show it's quite similar results except Geekbech that show huge difference like 20% in result, so who knows, maybe is something is not working right with Geekbench itself. With iOS 9.1 coming very soon in two weeks time, it will be even optimized so sit back, relax and enjoy the phone, and stop the never ending "gate" stuff. Haha!

to be fair...If not for Apple to pay Samsung to build the chips, it will be a seriously impact on the stock availability and not able to meet up with the demand. It will be the flippers market which will see rose gold selling as high as $2k

Even if one is able to meet the demands, they won't let either one(or anyone) be the sole producer of the chips, they want leverage so they have 2 or more

Imagine like MRT breakdown but there's only 1 company that can investigate and repair so you lan lan have to pay whatever price they ask

If you have competition then you can bargain for lower price

Report: Apple squeezing Samsung and TSMC for last-minute price cuts on A9 chips

They are really thrifty :s12:

Guess this is just a very small issue blown out of proportion as like last year bend gate which unless u really force it if not it really not an issue at all.
Also it onto affect a small friction of the user in the world.

Quite sad

Went thru quite a bit of trouble to get 6S+

and it came with Samsung chip

Which to some is less good- 20% less battery lasting power

Which as mentioned in the test by some reviews is significant

Anyway - no choice - can't change right?

Will use without those apps hat supposedly drain the battery

Pretty sure it's less than 20%. It's only a few percent. Insignificant

Really? Ok I will monitor. 6s plus should not drop that fast.

My batt was quite crazy during the 1st 2 weeks, 1% drop after every 5-10 mins use.. then when leave overnight, it dropped at least 2 - 3% or more.. but now is better...

Today, after 1hr of light usage (checking facebook & emails, safari and HWZ surfing) then drop 1%.. I turned off the background activity refresh and set-up my phone as a new phone btw.. not sure if it helps... mine is a 64gb 6S+ with samsung chip too, got it on 06 Oct 2015.
