The Battle For Singapore by Peter Thompson.

The more I read, the more contempt I have for the British generals.

Poorly made in China

After reading the book, I lost all confidence with China made products, knowing how they cut corners to save cost.

Any authors that is writes family sagas, rags to riches to recommend along the line of barbara taylor bradford, elizabeth Adler, Judith Gould and fred mustard stewart.

Just finished the Girl With a Dragon Tattoo trilogy - really great books, kept me awake for hours at night because I couldn't put them down. Now onto Shantaram which is also pretty amazing because the rumor is that it's pretty much non-fiction although the author is pretty secretive and won't admit to it or not. I definitely recommend it though!
