after past 40 having a good night sleep is a rare luxury...so far below are my own experience but results varies wildly with maybe just 50% success rate. I'll not mention the usual dont use handphone and consume caffeine tips...tot those are more common sense.
  • eat more carbs for dinner to induce drowsiness.
  • drink (a lot) less water and eat less fruit at night to avoid waking up to pee.
  • stop thinking abt rational things while trying to sleep (this is difficult because brain auto will think).
  • 26-27deg natural night temp works better then aircon for me.
  • use a blanket when feeling cool enough...blanket warmth also induce sleepiness for me.
  • exercise? this one is double edge... sometimes make me more awake instead
  • most impt is to have "hazy" thoughts... this is the doorway to sleep. in those hazy thoughts once you found the "hook", it will lead you into dream state...

I still can sleep after drinking black coffee with ginseng pill. Redbull also can sleep. How come like that?

Chamomile works for me. How about trying fruits like blueberries, or nuts with melatonin before sleep?

Cool temperature can sleep better

'invent' a story and think through the scenes when you sleep, over time it relaxes your brain when you keep repeating the same story and you will fall asleep.

I work a 12-hour shift, go home, and sleep like a baby. The only issue is that I've reached the age where I wake up to pee once or twice per night. :ROFLMAO:
