Hi !

Just looking at HP Stream 13-c106TU with Intel Celeron N3050 (1.6GHz) selling at $349.

- 2 GB DDR3L-1600 SDRAM (onboard)
- 32 GB eMMC

I just wonder what can I use this for ? Microsoft office - would it be very slow ? Surfing the net ? Watch movies mkv, avi, mp4 type?

Thanks.

Hello!

It's for general web surfing and video watching.
2GB of ram maybe an issue if you intend to multi task much.

Maybe at most you can have the spotify app running in the back ground and doing office / websurfing on chrome.

You can get a better idea of how it would perform under real world usage conditions from the link listed here:

N3050 is too slow. I suggest u try before u buy, else will regret.

Better one is celeron n3205 or n3510. Both have twice the performance of n3050

It is basically a system for you to do some light net surfing and checking emails. The system is severely impaired by the amount of ram. Storage I believe you can still try to expand with an SD card since most of the 32GB will be taken up by the OS.
