Singapore really no different than Mainland China.

In terms of cutting cost down
I was looking at our roads etc n someone posted CHina roads.
They changed the noticeboard / roadsigns but seem not v gd after the reflective coating dropped? at night hardly can see...
road markings also. always dig, lay things, cover, then another few wks later, same thing but by diff groups...
Then our medical, if u noticed, the before subsidize is v high for polyclinic.
A lot of our things are outsourced? Even town council is it outsourced? Transportation now is like outsourced?
Then China do they do the old sg way of managing the country? Things r done by govt but of course govt will hold the bulk of the complains (when things dont look good) but then again, China no elections. everything is inside the circle of ppl.
But elections ard the world, its always those few ppl coming up then ppl form their own circle too mah. Just that one is elected by a v small group of ppl
Another is elected by a big group of ppl but r given that small group of ppl to vote for....
So in the long run, will our medical be like USA where the diff co managing the diff hospitals/polyclinics have higher overheads to cover (mgmt team etc) and then more salaries to pay VS govt in house take care of hospital and education etc and able to do things better? then u have insurance companies coming in and want to take a pie of the healthcare, a vicious cycle in a way?
Last time the older generations, their english like more solid n they can speak gd dialects. Nowadays ........
last time doc talks more abt relationship n not $. Nowadays doc not as good n say things liked they need to go poor countries to treat ppl = feel their sense of doc responsibility that kind of thing i also dont understand....
i think in general, people have change. The characters r diff from the gd old days
maybe because a lot of things need $ n ppl want packaging n to be in the well to do situation etc?
