Librarian qualification is a professional degree, different from library assistant whose job is admin/menial eg returning the books to the shelves.

Sorry, I lao auntie liao but I dont behave like that when I was their age. But yeah, I have heard some parents cannot communicate with their children. Didnt establish a good rapport when the kiddos are young? They feel you are talking down to them? Wrong timing? Conversation is always about grade/school work etc so they fed up and disengaged? I dont know. So many reasons. Family dynamics and child's personality play a part.
