What does NUS Bachelor of Technology Programme mean?

[sg_investor]

I noticed there is a "Bachelor of Technology Programme" in the School of Continuing and Lifelong Education. And there is this Undergrad Certificate course.

Do they carry the same weight as the standard NUS undergraduate when it comes to job seeking and recognition?

What are the target students and what are the criterias to apply?

Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) target fresh post secondary school graduates while Bachelor of Technology (BTech) target working professionals.

The entry requirements for BEng is GCE A or Polytechnic Diploma while BTech only accept Polytechnic Diploma in a relevant field of Engineering.

From the name, we know that BEng is full time course while BTech is part time course. Taking consideration that both are 4 years course mean BTech have lesser hours of studies.

PEB Sg recognize both BEng & BTech from NUS.

In term of academic, BTech at country like Australia is a three-year exit point from the four-year BEng degree. So in Australia, BEng is tier 1 qualification & BTech is tier 2 qualification.
