what does the microsoft ID mean?

After you take up microsoft cert you will be given a ID and that site you can track your certificate and can share your result with your employee. What is that for? What can the employee do with that ID? Or they can just see only?

Name of the ID is called Microsoft Certification ID. It shows all the certifications a person have with Microsoft. Once given to employer together with access code, employer can set the transcript which contains certification details like list of exams taken, date taken, passed/failed and certification achieved. etc.
