What happen to blackberry ?

today went to Jem's singtel n starhub looking for Blackberry PRIV ..no display set and not selling blackberry PRIV !! some even said "sorry sir ,we don't sell blackberry !! ..

Is the outlet at jem an exlusive retailer or a singtelshop?

Maybe you can try a singtelshop instead!

I believe those locations are Singtel exclusive retailers too.

You may have better luck with Singtelshops.

Within the North-West region, there's an outlet in Jurong Point, Westmall, Ang Mo Kio Hub and Causeway Point.

what happened?

they got super sexy and tempting with the Priv. gorgeous AMOLED screen, gorgeous subtle curved edges, cool physical keyboard.. just a pity it's only a SD808, no fingerprint scanner, front camera only 2.1MP and the price is a tad high...

I would go for the 808 over an 810 any day! I saw / read a benchmark comparison a couple of months back where different SOC(s) were continuously bench-marked till they throttled to investigate the effects of thermal throttling and the 808 ranks amongst the top few overall performers while the 810 came out strong in the first few benchmarks before thermal throttling hits. Heh the Nexus 5X and LG G4 uses it too.


Agreed that the price is a tad high!
Am pretty tempted to get one when I jump operators next month!

well yeah tbh between 808 and 810 it's a tough call. 808 ought to be more efficient, whereas 810 has the better graphics..

if only the price was more in the SD808 range though

in a few months time perhaps!

820 vs the upcoming Exynos 8xxx series on the other hand is something to look out for

maybe blackberry local agent not giving enough freebies to Telco ? maybe low commission ..look at china made oppo ,all the telcos are selling ..for PRIV not even dummy set on display ..really BBs are dying ...

the fingerprint sensor IMHO is more of a security liability than a security need in phone's case. Lol.

Don't anyhow spread rumours. At least it is available relatively quickly here for sale unlike other brands who arent even releasing it here for xmas despite having declining sales

No, it is not dying or something. From what i know, most EPs or IT stores are not selling, Operators are confirm selling. Call your operator for stocks before going down
