What is oc, ti and boost?

Some Nvidia cards have different combinations of this suffix.

oc = overclocked = faster?
ti = more CUDA cores and TMUs?
boost = better custom cooling?
gts = Improved GPU revision with additional shaders?
gtx = for gaming? Means eXtreme?

If im not wrong....
OC= higher factory oc, usually applies to non ref cards
Ti = is a more powerful variant of a card with extra cuda cores and stuffs (eg. 750 and 750TI)
Boost = updated version of the original card, like more vram and higher base clock
GTS = entry level cards
GTX = gaming cards (Mid end)

The name of the cards doesn't matters to performance. It depends on what you are going to use the card for.

to put it simply:
OC= Dependent on manufacturer
Ti = dependent on NVIDIA
Boost = Dependent on Nvidia
GTS/GTX = Dependent on Nvidia how they want to name the cards.

so meaning to say, it is possible to combine all 3 if nvidia decided for a card to have a higher cuda variant and decides to add more vram to it, for eg 650 ti boost. then the manufacturer decides to factory oc it so it will be called 650ti boost oc. OC means its already factory overclock, you can still further oc your card if you want to.

btw i seldom see nvidia cards that is boost leh... and you can't put OC in the equation cause that is manufacturer set de. So its just Ti> boost

From my understanding is

Lets take

GTX650, GTX650TI, GTX650ti Boost

TI is actually like a so call improved version

With offerings of better floating point performance like 8XXGFLOPS vs 15XXGFLOPS

Higher Texture Rate, Pixel Rate, a slightly more oc speed memory, more shadders unit, more mapping units.

TI with Boost is a different performance already. It is actually more of a 660 performance but reaching its peak.

The next one is OC

OC is for any cards that is out of the box with boosted base clock frequency, as long as it is not reference card, they will put it as OC edition.

There is also GHz edition.

This is a higher OC level out of the box. Norm is factory out of the box with more than 1000mhz base clock.
