As above.

When ISP mentions ONT installation, does it mean modem/router installation or fibre termination point installation?

FTP and ONT/Router are 2 separate installation.

FTP done solely by NetLink Trust (NLT) on 1st appt at your location.

ISP next is to provide ONT & Router (if free or not) to install and activate the fibre broadband service at your premise.

ISP will communicate with NLT.

If your estate is new and has FTP built in, then the 1st appt with NLT is probably not necessary.

Only need the ISP to activate one port of the FTP and to setup the ONT and Router at your premise.

Correction, 1st appt is needed regardless FTP already installed or not.

Even when you switch ISP, this 1st appt cannot runaway one.

NLT required to be at your location means to check n activate the correct connector.
This may not be in your premise.
The centralised box is in the block.
I have been seeing NLT staff at the void deck area near to the NLT box /room.

As for ISP; for your info.
Recently went to just completed bto flat that my friend booked.
There are Singtel & Starhub box, with label, outside the units beside other.

Seems like individual experience may vary. Mine was a simple activation of TP port + ONT and Router Installation by ISP. OpenNet did not come down, or at least I am not aware of it.

NLT, formerly OpenNet, usually do their part at your location outside your premise.
Hence may no need to be physically inside your premise.

That is why ISP liaise with NLT.
Once NLT completed the ISP go to your premise to do the ONT & activation.

Thanks for clarifying! :)
