M.2 is usually for tablets and smaller devices ...most got better performance than cheap ssd.
Normal ssd is cheaper though , if ya getting it for normal pc build ssd is sufficient .
Tablets do not use m.2 for very obvious reasons.
In many cases a good m.2 is same price or cheaper than SSD drives that can be slower to much slower

Windows tablets or slim laptop with high specs uses them .
