my other phones all can stillconnect to sgx using password, just that my new mi max cannot.

newer android OS phone are forced to use sim only from what I have tested (r4p, 6.0) and my older phone (motoegen1, 5.0/5.1) can work with pw.

can anyone tell me the settings to use to connect to wireless sgx? I don't want to download installers.

I need to know if you use PEAP/TLS/etc or MSCHAPV2 or any certificates and things.

My phone keeps disconnecting after 2-3 seconds.

Security: 802.1x Enterprise
EAP Type: PEAP
Sub Type: MSCHAPV2

The userid/pwd method valid till 31 Dec 2017.

hello guys..need help. I am conducting a class of about 30 people. If i use 1 username and password for wireless@sg login, can all 30 of them log in at the same time with my username and password? These are regional participants so not all have valid singapore phone numbers. Thank you...

Did you set authentication as SIM2?

Prepaid or Postpaid, it doesn’t matter. What matters is the configuration.

well which sim card did u registered for the wireless@sg? cos they verified through registration on your original sim card or the sim card u currently using and not any sim card from prepaid or postpaid and insert to use.

As far i as know.
Detection is based on SIM slot 1.
This is true for dual SIM slots phone.
This apply to NFC SIM Card, as i did tested.
Hence SIM slot 2 is not recognised.

Suggest to checkout the official website on more info:

The other point for sgx is your telco as they have the login and password issue.
Once you have your telco login then it should be quite straightforward.
There is a list of FAQs to find out more.
I did used this method for Xiaomi phone an old model.
It works perfectly in McDonalds, example, with reasonable good speed.
As older phone model did not use newly wireless@sg as no chips available.

Do note some wireless hotspots are independent and not related to neither sg or sgx.
Sign up is mostly free.

This link is good for wireless@sgx configuration. Can use SIM Login (no need to create wireless@sg account) for mobile phones. Works for any telco operator. For iPhone users, just download the profile from the website and auto connect.

https://www.imda.gov.sg/community/consumer-education/wireless-sg/support-and-feedback

IDA was restructured so the configuration links provided by the telcos were not updated and it took me a while to find.

3 years later IMDA updated the method of getting the iOS EAP SIM configuration profile. Previously the download link was openly available (just click link and the configuration profile will be downloaded).

Now they want you to download their app first before you can download the profile. But for those who don't want to download their app and just want to get straight to the configuration file use this link.

https://www2.imda.gov.sg/programme-...education/wirelesssg/iOS-EAP-SIM.mobileconfig

The end result is the same.

Here is their official video where they demo.

As you can see after downloading the app and agreeing to their terms of use and agreeing to give your location permission, the app will then redirect you to the download link which is essentially the configuration file (the only thing you actually need) for the EAP SIM authentication for Wireless@SGx for iOS.
