If you want to use 3G/4G data on smartphone, definitely have to swap a old 2G sim card for a new one.

If yours is already a 3G/4G sim card, then just need to make sure the physical size matches the size of the sim slot on the smartphone. Most common size is "Mini", followed by "Micro".

K800 is using "Mini" sim.

If not for Apple iphone, no one will adopt micro and nano sim. Now more troublesome to switch sim to different phone.

Is a Mini SIM always a 2G?

Can a Mini SIM be 3G?

Thanks

I used a 2G mini sim for my first two mobile phones. Later when I re-contracted to a 3G phone back in 2008, Singtel changed it to a 3G mini sim card in case I wished to subscribe data plan. I'm still using this mini sim in my S2.
