they can squeeze out 19% ipc increase means all those excuses intel had for years about "we already at the limit" are coolstory

to be fair you cannot compare intel chips to ryzen directly........ ryzen archtecture was a gamble and it paid off..... MCM chiplet design was a gamble, the performance may not be on par with intel at the beginning stage..... subsequent refinement makes it competitive...... and also infinity fabric is 功不可没

Happy for AMD and even happier for Intel. No longer a monopoly so consumers will gain more from this competition.

Lisa Su is a good ceo and with her there, things should go well just that they also need to plan a successor. She gave a very Steve Jobs vibe during her delivery which makes Tim Cook look like a novice.

if it was strictly about performance i expect a 60/40 AMD/Intel CPU share but as we know Intel has a history of bullying tactics and unfair/unethical market practices (tbf they have been called out for this) That said, the numerous issues on 14nm, worldwide reviews for Zen3 and even apple moving away from Intel is educating even the clueless masses
