Released in 1988 on the album "Chicago 19", “Look Away” was written by Diane Warren and produced by Ron Nevison. The song became one of Chicago’s biggest hits of the late 1980s, reaching #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and topping the Adult Contemporary chart. Sung by Bill Champlin, “Look Away” reflected the band’s continued success in the pop rock and power ballad era, further solidifying Chicago’s radio dominance during the decade.
