Current System:

Haswell i5-4570 @ 3.2Ghz
AsRock B85M Pro4
8GB Ram
HD 7850 Raedeon GFX
180GB SSD

Currently not into any gaming, I think 7850 is quite outdated to play current games with high settings.

Recently upgraded to 27 inch monitor with higher resolution, realized youtube abit lag when played with full 1080 screen.

I planned to expand my SSD probably to atleast 256GB

I wanna ask if it's wiser to sell my current system and use it to fund a new system or I can upgrade just my gfx to keep up?

Thanks in advance :s12:

Just update your graphic card and SSD will do. i5-4570 is a still a very capable processor.

Your GPU is fine for 1080 video. The YouTube lag is probably due to download speed.

A GPU upgrade for gaming should be sufficient.

Thanks guys, which GPU would you guys recommend? I'm looking at gtx 970, but because I don't do gaming atm, but I might in the future, so any bang for bucks gfx? How about 950? Is 970 really worth the extra $200 above 950 in my situation? And is 7850 to gtx 950 a big jump in performance for gaming?

Thanks!

180GB - 256GB is not a big or worth it upgrade. Jump straight to 480GB/512GB. I jumped from 180GB to 512GB. Don't bother about the 256GB.

Since you don't need the GPU now, you might as well wait for Polaris. That's the next generation AMD GPU.
