I am not sure about what others say about the high failure rate for the Momentus Hybrid XT, some people claim no issues and some people claim got issues. What I can say is trust yourself when buying computer parts as no one can guarrantee that the item you buy will not be a lemon...
I have a Seagate Momentus Hybrid XT in my DV6 laptop and it is use 24 hours non stop for downloading and I have not RMA once since I brought it last year June/July.
So far no one recommends getting a hybrid cos in raw speed compare to SSD, SSD is still much faster. The hybrid is still afterall a HDD with a very small SSD as cache. But if you want best of both world (cheap with huge capacity) so far only the Seagate Momentus XT has it.
As for pricing in overseas, I have not brought any before because I do not own a credit card myself so I cannot help you much. But below is a link that will help you;

In my personal opinion, the most reliable SSD so far in terms of sales vs reliablity are INTEL and CRUCIAL SSDs but Samsung is proving to be a great competitor to these two now...
