I bought a CPU a few days ago from Sim Lim, and I didn't check the receipt until today.

The shop is named "Make Fine Computer" on the receipt, with the text "PREVIOUSLY FROMFUNAN" on the next line.

Funny thing is I don't recall ever seeing that shop name nor entering such a store.

Anyone know what store is that? Did they change name? Many thanks

Some shops registered a different name under IRAS, for some reasons. But in any case, it shld not be any issues if u need to RMA with distro after 7 days.

A mixture of both i would say??

I don't know :s22:
Maybe they share their stocks(ledgers)
Company A,B,C,D will use Company A stocks(receipts) until maximum before taxation then rotate.
They then share profit monthly behind the scenes.

TBH, i dun really care what they register their coy with IRAS though. As long as im satisfied with the pricing that they sell and distro accept their receipt, the rest are not for me to judge liao and not impt anyway.

Anyway, to TS, make fine shop should still be accepted by distro if that is your concern. If scared, u can email to respective distro if they got sell XX products to make fine in SLS. If yes, then gt nth to worry about.

Make Fine, bought a LOT of my IT stuffs like PC cases or mouse from them. Extremely reliable. Love their own specialized delivery service that they do allowing me to receive the goods on the same night straight to my door step. No issues with any of their products.

Btw, a lot of shops there go under different names. Not exclusive to just Make Fine. Go walk around and try buying a CPU or a motherboard or a graphics card. You might see them leave the store go around corners here and there. Or even see them make a call to check stock and then wait 5 minutes and you see a worker come from nowhere with your goods right to their shop and see them proceed with making payment.

Yes, sometimes it is to escape paying tax. But that is not something that you should bother about as it helps to drop the prices of those goods that you bought at below retail prices. Warranty still works with Distro. Thus, not an issue.

Same strategy is employed by Amazon where you might be buying goods, but item ships from states where there are little to no taxes. But it is all so that they can pass those savings to the consumers. So no harm since it is all in good will.

Before his son took over the business, the boss RAMBO is very well known among all the distys and suppliers alike. In a good way of course.
Who don't know him then.

Make Fine was well known in Funan in those days.

Hence by putting those wording would means that they will have their shop in the new Funan again; and anyway SLS is already on the way out.

Most shops would be shared among partners &or related parties.
