After dusting out my cpu, i notice that now my cpu temp on a normal load is about 70 deg. high load is about 80-90 deg. previously was about 40-50 on normal load. im guessing it could be me taking out the cpu fan to clean.

what kind and where can i get a thermal paste from?

im using intel i5-4460 and a msi b85-g43 gaming mb.

Thanks!

Any type that's easy for you to get. Doesn't make a difference what thermal paste you're getting. Can ask doreamon aka t258jgn. He can sell you one with delivery.

Literally any retail paste a tiny bead.

Even mayonaise also similar performance but wear out fast.:o

I used those cheap ones from Aliexpress. 5 tubes for US$1. Good enough for normal use.

I used those alcohol wipes that u can find in Watson/guardian meant for disinfection. have to use 3-4 pieces coz the wipes dry up quite fast but 1 box usually got 100pieces :s13::s13:

yea, those are very useful for cleaning tiny surfaces, and also good for a lot of other things....

but I think any paste should work fine, just get what is avail or easiest to get, I used the stock one with my coolermaster cpu cooler also quite ok.

that reminds me, need to go look for it, anyone knows if there is an expiry date for this type of items?
