So i'm having my first low key ict next week, and im not sure what to bring.

My SAF100 states that i only need report in no 4 dress with head dress, and only need bring relevant personal belongings.

So does that mean i do not need to bring field pack with 10 pack items?

I'm a transport operator by the way.

I did, i called my units, my unit told me i'm attached out during ICT and gave me a number to the attached unit, i called that unit and the person who answered the phone wasn't sure either.

So now im wondering if i juz bring whatever is stated in the SAF100, would i be penalised later if FBO is required?

Will not need to bring FBO if they didn’t state. Literally just bring yourself and wallet and handphone.

If after reporting, they say need, then you ask to book out to go home take, they will allow. There was once ICT that this happen to us. We all go home take, they lan lan.

as a quick tip , for every ICT (army)
2 pieces of information are good to have:
1. which days need to stay in
2. which days need to go outfield

not sure if they uploaded the training program on NS portal, do check it
generally no outfield = no need FBO
if no range etc, most likely no need LBV/SBO as well

for your case, you are being attached out, so a bit difficult administratively

but dont worry
just wear number 4 (dont forget headgear) and report as stated

they never state FBO that means no need to bring , at least for 1st day, as a general unwritten guide/'rule'

(chance of outfield for LK is lower anyway.... )

even though that is true, but if you have FBO when it is not needed, it is very troublesome, especially if you have to move around across different places
(for driver vocation, the vehicle you drive may not always be the same)

and in certain situations , there is no place to store securely to prevent theft, when your unit did not indent bunk, or provide a designated storage area

and if it is not needed, then you have to bring it home also during bookout

there was one LK that knn i had to lug my FBO around, even to canteen break and mess etc... because no bunk indented, and cannot put indoors because of certain security rules, because instructions were not clear. in the end no need FBO wtf.

Mine were all high key. Never brought a thing on day one & asked to see training plan. If it says outfield then common sense need FBO so book out & next day book in with it.

Which unit are you attached to? Any of your ex-platoon mates posted to same unit? Last time the drivers who are attached to my unit are treated like they are part of my unit. So FBO everything required.

Aiya. Don’t take chances. Just bring FBO for first day. Better to bring more stuff than later sign extra.

Better confirm that if you are allowed to book out or have nights off for your reservist. If your reservist is stay in all the way without any nights off like me you will need to bring stuffs like toothbrush, toothpaste, soap etc.
