What to do with NSF allowance?

Currently a 19 years old NSF earning a humble monthly allowance of $560. I don't go out during the weekends so I don't have much things to spend on.

Feel like making some small investments but don't know where to start as I have no knowledge on financial investment. Hence, I would appreciate some tips from the people here.

1) Pick up a copy of "The Coffeehouse Investor" at the NLB and read in your bunk during your admin time. It should mostly explain why you should invest and how to go about doing it.
2) Put in $100 a month with POSB InvestSaver or Maybank-KE Monthly Investment Plan and buy the STI ETF from either Nikko or SPDRS
3) ???
4) PROFIT
