it's worth to keep miso at home.
instead of opening up a packet of instant noodles, if have time can cook the above (boil water, throw veg inside. Once veg cooked, add miso, then throw in noodles (noodles ideally put in a big bowl and soften with hot water first for 2 min before throwing into soup. Purpose to remove excess flour / dirt), and finally add mushroom and tofu if want).
cost:
1/2 smaller size carrot $0.10 (NTUC or Giant sells loose carrots that usually I buy 2-3 to keep)
cabbage $0.20,
noodles $0.50,
mushrooms $0.20.
Some leftover meat that I saved previously from a bigger packet.
Total about $1 without costing in miso.
*I tried many different miso before and find the below is the best (i got it from Donki). Fragrant and not too salty (i use 1 tablespoon for 500 ml of water):
