Think perhaps because of the conscription and related, unless privileged, born with silver spoon. If not, most ordinary males tend are disadvantaged for life, one way or another. Not just education and economic wise, but also socially.

Alot things cannot catch up with peers and FT who don't have to serve. Have to try harder and take longer. Being older and lesser qualified. Want to compete also made less competitive by the system.

Even locals many also tend look down on and despise. Perhaps only those hiding in the ivory tower thinking everything is fine out there in the world, then see no problem with the way ordinary people are treated.
