I bought a 64GB Samsung EVO microSDXC UHS-1 microSD card for my Android phones in August.

So at first it worked well. Then suddenly, the card failed to read on any of my Android phones. on my current Sony, it reads "SD card is broken. Please fix it." when I try to format it on the phone, nothing happens.

I tried my laptop to read it so I can at least format it, but it refuses to be read by my laptop, either by a sdcard reader or USB-OTG drive.

so basically right now, this card can't be read by anything, and i CANNOT seem to format. waste of my money if you ask me. I have the exact same card but in 32GB and it has never happened, although I just got a data corruption yesterday with half my music files gone mysteriously.

Rather strange to have two cards go bad in such a short span. I only ever have one SD card go bad out of about ten.

I never really had a microsd spoil on me. They are usually very hard to spoil. I guess you got a lemon set and just go for warranty exchange

No point. U make noise, all they can do is to act as middleman send to Eternal Asia on ur behalf. More troublesome. Rather, take ur reciept and product and go to Eternal Asia outlet at Sim Lim Square lvl 5 (beside Best Bargain Computers), ask them to RMA. At least they can tell u if it is microsd or phone fault.

If you can prove that its faulty on ur phone and on their phone or another phone, u got a case to argue and can get 1-to-1 exchange. Got nothing to repair and it should be product lifetime warranty.

I got the Samsung Pro 32GB earlier generation version. Now got the 3rd gen and the Pro Plus. Mine used for coming to 3years after that also faced the same problem. It is confirmed spolit liao. I bought the newer generation Pro 32GB and still going ok. I do believe the microsd card if you used it extensively it will die quickly.

I used it mainly for video recording while I drive like a dashcam but using the phone app to do that. I think the heat might have shorten the life of the card as well.
