it sounds like e bug is when manually triggering e backup?

tried that. i waited 10mins and still no %, i gave up already. by right the % should appear immediately and start running.

I don’t include videos either & my back up is under 80mb. In the past i’ve backed up even larger sizes with no issues.

Anyone here done an icloud backup for whatsapp (the entire app backup from icloud screen not just the chats back up from within whatsapp) & restored it?

I would like to confirm that using the iphone icloud backup option will back up the entire whatsapp including the chats. If so then i’ve no worries.

I always thought that just backed up the app only since there is a separate option within whatsall for chat backup.

Yes I can confirm that an iCloud backup and an offline backup via iTunes/Apple Music include WhatsApp chats. Sometimes the manual chat backups via WhatsApp to iCloud does not work well, especially if you have medias backed up

But then how come there is two different backups in iCloud?

One is inside the "Backups"
One is before the the "Backups"

1 is part of e phone level iCloud backup
1 is the backup u took inside WhatsApp

I thot they are linked?
Coz when selecting backup in WhatsApp app , it says iCloud must have enuff storage and even 2.5x more.
If they are separate then technically won’t need to rely on iCloud space for the backup inside WhatsApp app?
