This folks, is one of the reasons why I never (and suggest to others) update iOS after two major new ones.

It’s like having a Windows XP computer and updating it to Windows 11 and expect no issues with software.

Try and contact WhatsApp, good luck to you!

But if you don’t update your phone to the latest iOS, will likely be vulnerable to major security flaws.

Better to upgrade to a new phone, if that ever happens.

While that is true, are you someone special whose data is worth much to the eyes of hackers? Also, when is the last time you or anyone close to you has suffered from such attacks due to security flaws?

No need to be anyone special.

If you don’t use your mobile phone for Internet Banking purposes, or if you simply don’t care, then go ahead and use a security compromised outdated smartphone then.
