I am running stock china rom. The beta global rom is a recovery rom. Tried using system update and recovery update, the system update cannot verify update while mi suite Rflash state already latest rom, flash cannot detect phone.

Seem like the only way to install the beta global rom is flash twrp recovery then use that to install the recovery rom. :(

You cannot cross flash from China Roms to global Roms or vice vera using recovery method. Only updates on the same Rom type can use recovery.
So to cross flash between the Roms, you can use miflash but need to unlock bootloader.
There are 2 ways to flash either by fastboot or recovery method. Both using different files so download the right one.
Miflash will flash fastboot file (end with .tgz) so you can search the thread for fastboot file if you don't wish to install twrp recovery. Twrp will flash recovery files (end with .zip).
You can search for threads that explain how flash them

Is the dual wifi tech on mi6 translate to faster web browsing? Or just gimmick?
You mean dual band Wi-Fi? It's 2.4ghz and 5ghz band. This is around for quite some time already. You need a Wi-Fi router that supports it. If you don't know what that is, then you probably don't hv a router that has the dual band. You should Google it

If u are talking abt mu-mimo, you also need a router that supports it. That technology has also been around for quite sometime, s7 for example has mu-mimo and it's 1 year old phone. I've the rt-ac87u which supports it so my s7e connect at higher speed. In general, you get faster network file transfer but for web surfing there isn't much advantage as you are bounded by other variables

You can click on the Wi-Fi detail to see link speed. Sd835 is a very fast processor. It's not necessarily your Wi-Fi speed per se

Just checking, even when xiaomi releases the official stable global rom. For Mi6 still on stock Chinese rom, we will still need to unlock bootloader and use TWRP to flash to stable global rom?

Guys i installed antutu benchmarks and scored around 159k on antutu but this article says it can go up to 184+k score which is as good or even better than the ip7 plus. Question is what settings do you need to change?

I own an ip SE and managed to increase my antutu scores by switching off notifications for individual apps and a few other settings that i have currently forgotten what must i do for android?

Xiaomi has officially launched the Mi 6, a sleek Android smartphone with a bunch of high-end features, including USB-C, a ceramic back (with the Exclusive Edition), 3D curved glass, optical image stabilization, dual rear cameras, and more. This follows several leaks surrounding the handset, which Xiaomi says achieved a 184,292 AnTuTu benchmark score.

To flash any rom will require you to unlock bootloader.
Without unlocked device, TWRP can't be installed try before that alrdy.

So better to go sign up for mi unlock and bind device to acc now. Need wait 72hrs to access mi unlock tool.

Alt method is if u on fake rom can try flash to leaked global beta rom using mi suite recovery. Chk out miui forum thread.

If it's official then you can use the stock recovery, but u still need to unlock bootloader by registering for it thru Xiaomi.
