When u buy graphics card

If given a choice, i will just take the more powerful card, irregardless of length n slot size.

As of now, most cards are 2 slots in height and around 25cm average, for high end cards.

That will depend on your chassis liao loh. A full size ATX should be no issue.

For me... i prefer to buy graphics cards with reference cooler design from Nvidia/AMD

for the length and size, i prefer it to take up 2slots only. gfx card length longer the better

whats the difference for reference cooler design vs non-reference? Better performance? Smaller in size?

Why card length longer is better? Spread temperature? More stable?
I see it as not efficient use of space.

Ref cooler takes in air and exhaust them out from the back. Non-ref blows out air into the case.

As of now, all high end will take 2 slots, irregardless of ref or non-ref style. Low-mid lvl cards could take up 1 slot.

Low end card (low performance) >>> one slot & short length
Mid - High end card >>> two slots & long length

Some cards may take up 3 slots.

My card takes 3 slots, but I don't mind, at max I will SLI only bah for now.. Soon might slot in another 7970. Also, looks very good with 3 slots card.
