When will Quantum Dots LCDs gain mainstream?

I have been waiting for this new variant of LCD to be here as OLED may not be fast enough in gaining mainstream. So we do need a stopgap new LCD to be out before OLED can truly be mainstream.

Oled is going to take some time before it will even get into mainstream. Probably around 2020s, tho i wont be surprise it take longer or maybe never will be mainstream.

Not sure Quantum dot will be the stepping stone before OLED, or will it even get the chance to get mainstream before it get obsolete...


They should have introduce it a few year back.

from rtings review (read comments), for certain models/sizes it may be using an IPS panel which results in pic quality not so good...
