Actually biryani is Indian food or malay food?? Only know nasi Padang is Malay??

Friend jio-ed me to eat at the Koothurar Briyani at 17 Beach Rd yesterday.

The mutton briyani/biryani was okay at best. Nothing great.

I am partial to chicken meat...but even my mutton-loving friend agreed that the meat was not great.

Huge portion of rice. Served with a hard-boiled egg & achar.

Overall a 6/10.

Ate mutton briyani there before. Also didn't find it that great.

I tried once, together with my maid, after hearing so much about it. After a few bites, my maid told me not very nice. I agreed with her. One and only time.

Nowadays all biryani CMI.... And too ex. Mutton $9...chicken $8.
Indian foods now slice u like nothing.

My favorite Briyani is from Windsor Marriot in India... One of the best I had but that was decades ago.
