Where to buy second hand Gpu?

I'm looking into getting a second hand Gpu meant to use with a r5 3600.

I've seen some story about buying gpu on carou then have to RMA right away. Of course there's always a chance I'll be unlucky regardless of where I buy my parts from.

I'm hoping to know generally where are the safer place to get second hand parts at.

Some of yall might recognise my name and remember I asked for a build awhile ago for 5600x but due to personal reason I decide to settle for a 3600 build instead.

Check for rust (aka condition especially the heat sink? )

I just want a barebones computer for gaming since I'll have to get a laptop for school work but for personal usage I prefer desktop. And yeah I'm just working part time before school starts in july and I'm very bored.

I checked SLS prices and decided to try and buy second hand since I figure I only play like valorant and league I don't need to fight for those super in demand GPU. Settle for 1040p also can get cheaper monitor. Hoping even witb price inflated I can go for models that are out of radar of scalpers.

- If you have limited budget, actually should get the AMD Ryzen 5 3400G.
The IGP is not very strong but at least you still can game on low resolution/
low-mid settings.
When you budget than get a Geforce 1650 which cost around $300.

- Look for second hand Geforce 1050 ti/1060.
Tip from me:
- Avoid cards that are used for mining.
Mining cards have been used 24/7, chances of failure are very high.
- Most used cards bound to have dust or rust.
If you can, dust it off.
- Run Furmark or 3D test make sure the card does not have artifact.

I buy used cards for testing so if you have concern.
You can ask for my help but I don't have a card that can pair with Ryzen 3600.

A lot of work actually to make a card good as new.
Brand new Geforce 1050 in Sim Lim Square can be hard to find but
you can try ask around.

Some shops may still keep ex-stock.

The place where you buy does not matter in this case. There is nothing stopping those sellers in Carousell from selling on any platforms. So that risk is not mitigated even if you choose not to use Carousell. If you are worried about ending up with faulty hardware, you should always validate the seller is a reputable one, or simply just buy from a store. On Carousell, I can recommend ShiningPC where you can check with the owner if he's got a decent used GPU for sale. He sold me an Asus GTX 960 and provided a month of warranty.

Really depends what games and the settings. If just want to play, a cheap option is a 750TI from Aliexpress but choose a seller with lots of feedback. Next would be GTX 960/1050TI. Higher than that, better to save up for any brand cheapest 1650 Super. More than that, wait for a 2nd hand 2060 to come along.

Can get GTX1650 or 1650 Super. I sold one 2 mth old 1650 for $170 last month. Make sure is GDDR6 version.

buy from carousell, read the reviews. you can more or less figure out whether the person is the type who would knowingly sell a faulty item.

Thanks guys got some solid tips from yall very quickly even about which mobo to get, I think my questions are mostly answered already and I'll probably ask my friend whom is more informed about pc parts than myself to see if a particular listed mobo is a good deal.
