Where to buy your apple items?

Just a curious observation, why do people want to buy from Apple store(like in town or in MBS kind)?

From what i see, at least challenger has a $30 promo for CC, and some other stores may have some side deals. So im curious to know where is the best deal to purchase apple product, and why people would want to buy from the apple store itself?

One of the reasons I can think of is coz of the return policy with Apple. And also of the assurance you get from buying there. No doubt retailers like challenger are also legit stuff but its the whole buying experience I guess.

Whereas people who buy from retailers may have vouchers or mall points to offset cost.

Thats my $0.02 thoughts

i see, the only rational thing i can think of is the apple staff in apple store seems more knowledgeable on their products, and we will be able to test the items before purchase for real(like earphone)

Not sure if that's necessary rational, but you can always go ask the apple store staff, test the products etc and still don't buy from them.

Then head to somewhere else to buy.

You might not heard about it before. but if you work with the bigger companies, they have the Employee Purchase Program which can be a better deal than what offered by other retailers.

Actually EPP discount more than those Challenger etc promotion like what you mention, its about 6% for hardware products and 10% for accessories. Taking the recent MBP base model which is at $1849, 6% discount technically offers you close to $111 discount from the RRP

Also like what others mention too, its the shopping experience + return policy that Apple offers unlike those authorise retailer

Accessories like AirPods can buy from telco. sometimes have discount and/or can combine with any some voucher if you have any. No need to scare fake or what.

As for other big ticket hardware, my spouse is an educator so I will usually buy it from apple store and enjoy the education discount but before doing that I would check for any other major retailers to see if they offer any freebies that worth more than the education discount

not all items will have discount.

Do your research before buying. If a certain retailer has discounts for a credit card u are holding of course buy from them. Or if they are throwing in freebies u find useful (what for if its useless junk?) then sure.

If its a heavy item, does the retailer offer free delivery? Cos apple does. While ppl were queuing up for 11 Pro Max last year, i had it delivered to me in the comfort of my phone.

So many factors to consider.

Education discount, plus their return policy (which I have made use of on more than one occasion). And because the Apple store tends to have more stock, and have them earlier than the other outlets.

If you buy from retailers, not the official stores, the retailers are willing to give freebies and sometimes a small discount. You get nothing from the official stores, except the experience of buying from an apple store.
