Where to change new USD??

i got some old USD that are dated 1996 and 1985. tried to deposit the USD into my USD account but the teller said that they only accept notes after 2000. just wondering what can i do to get rid of these old notes?? thanks!!:s12::s12:

Have you tried to open account at Citibank?

If that won't work, well, keep it until you travel to US. Any bank there will take the notes. They even take $500, $1000, $5000 and $10000 notes because all of them are legal tender.

P.S. Well, taking those notes to a bank for exchanging at face value would not be a wise decision.

Are they in good condition? I don't mind changing it.
