Anyone know where to get E3-1230V3 in Singapore?

The reason for getting E3-1230V3 is
1)I dont need the GPU in i7 if I am getting GTX 970.
2)Also don't intend to OC.

Maybe I am wrong. Feel free to advise and give your view.

Most enthusiasts run their haswells with discrete gpus anyway. Xeon version only appeal is lower price.

Yup, that's correct. Can just get that one since it's the same thing but with the GPU unlocked. Doubt you can find 1230, and even if you die die want one from the distro, it should be more ex than PCT's 1245 price tag

Why not look on the brighter side and treat these IGP as backup graphics in case you need to RMA your GPU and you can have at least something to tide over for normal operations?

Hi Ark,
What are the differences between i7 4790 and 1245V3 other than the lower price and 0.1 lower clock speed on 1245V3?

Agree with you. Just will like to ponder the idea of not getting some functions that are inferior and will not likely to use. :)

ECC ram support for the Xeon, and turbo downclock. They're otherwise same chips with a different printed cover

1245v3 - 3.8
4770 - 3.8
4771 - 3.9
4790 - 4.0
4790K - 4.4

FWIW, I was looking to get the 1245v3 myself months back, but YL took forever to bring them in so just spent $400 on the 4790 instead

I would say just keep the iGPU as a backup in case. Cause the iGPU does not cost much more anyway.
