OWC's docking station seems to be the perfect one for me.
except for its price :/

The OWC Thunderbolt 3 Doc is now available for pre-order for a price of $279. Shipping begins February 2017 and includes a 0.5 m Thunderbolt 3 40 Gb/s USB-C cable for absolutely no extra charge.

but mini DisplayPort from what i read can be tricky. HDMI would have been better

105USD.

this is the displayport problem i was talking about:
http://www.theverge.com/2016/11/5/13523372/usb-c-macbook-adapter-donglelife-problems-thunderbolt
For example, Nilay Patel tried plugging his DisplayPort monitor into a USB-C to Thunderbolt adapter. See, Thunderbolt uses the same connector as Mini DisplayPort, but his adapter didn’t support DisplayPort, it only supported Thunderbolt.

in the context of local availability. i doubt there is. it's jus way too early to adopt the standard. think you can hang around in macrumor forums and see if your configuration (dell, HP) dock works with the new MBPs.

Pre order only.

Gone are the days that devices (and dongles) just work. Now have to do a lot of research.

Thanks for the information, is there any difference between a 100 plus, 200 plus or even 300?

Is there a difference between multi adapter vs docking? Thunderbolt 2 vs Thunderbolt 3?

Never trust all these kickstarter/indiegogo projects that promise stuffs like never-to-be-repeated-cheaper-than-public-pricing when they do not even have the real things (and video scammer tricks) but dummy mockups/samples and depends on the crowdsourced funding to get it shipped.

be patient about it and wait for actual launch of other better products

I got the j5 create and also the minix Neo c. I prefer the minix as it has sd card slots and comes in silver, gold and space grey.
