Hi guys,

I'm using MSI B85 G43 MOBO. I need to raise or offset the VCCSA (system agent voltage) but I cant seem to find it in BIOS. Under the OC tab, the closest thing I came to finding was CPU SA and even then, I could only change it from AUTO to + or -, and could not offset the voltage by a certain amount.

Any advice? thanks.

Trying to raise system agent voltage by abit so that GPU can be more stable.

Current GPU gives black screen issues. already set for lower clocks and still giving black screen. trying every possible solution.

does CPU SA = VCCSA?

Black screen issues got nothing to do with whatever you are going to set on BIOS.

For the start, is the GPU you using the 7970?

There are many things that will caused your screen to black screen,

1. GPU overheating caused by a airflow, or something that you installed recently below the card blocking the cards airflow.

2. Since downclocking it does not help, it seems like you may have an issue with your PSU also.

3. Driver issues with the games you are playing.

http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2033153/explain-works-290-black-screen-fix.html

This link describes my problem well. It seems to be a thing amoongst 290 users. I'm using a 290 now.

290. It seems more like an overheating issue or psu issue.

Nevertheless have you done any troubleshooting?

First off try running furmark. Im very sure at the start or somewhere halfway it will just black screen.

1. If it is black screen before even reaching a peak of 94deg, then high chance is your psu. Check are you connected using dual 6+2pin psu in daisy chain?

2. If it peaks out up to 95deg and throttle, high chance your card are overheating.

The card and Vrams dont even cross 60.

Im using 2 seperate wires for the Card.

Update: i just decidded to perform clean windows reboot. to see how that works.

Nope.

Anyhow, the problem still persists. even after complete reinstall. I'm assuming it runs, reaches a point where one of the temps ****s up, then blacks out. Although GPUz temps show all normal, something must be going wrong.
