Where to study for ICSA ?

Hi all

Can anyone tell me where can get registered to attend the class for ICSA (The Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators) ?

Seems like singapore only have the registration for exams but do not have the courses venue to attend...

Surprised to hear that you are interested in this course. Very few ppl take ICSA exams these days. The only place you can study for this course is probably SAISCA, the local branch of ICSA. They are located at fu lu shou building (bugis)

I am from a similar industry, noticed that company secretary firms have difficulty surviving.

Corporate secretary is an interesting profession but their jobs can be easily substituted by others particularly the accountants or even lawyers. In the 90s, you will still hear people studying the ICSA exams but now not anymore. If you look at Singapore, the role of ICSA might diminish further as Singapore try to cut down business costs further. So paying hundreds or thousands of dollars to file returns might soon become a corporate practice of the good old days. In short, corporate secretaryship will be perceived more as costs than benefits now.

In addition, SAICSA has not been very active in promoting itself. Or rather they may not have much to promote itself. CIMA is probably more well-known in SG now compared to ICSA.

thanks. you have made a good point here. No point taking a professional qualification when you can be replaced by another professional who is not as specialised as you.
