All boils down to personal taste.

Based on the pics you provided, i would think POA/domanchi will have the type of jacket you are looking for.

Yea... from the pictures posted, i doubt those are jackets meant for office wear anw, more casual than anything.

But of cos, the office may not be a formal office setting then it's ok

Collar creasing and button alignment are both basic expectations. Surely even cheaper tailors should do this well. But my one time maiden 'trial' with Marcella failed me badly with collar creasing after 1 wash.

My Marcella shirts still looking good after first wash

Been there before. But very expensive if you order from online yourself.

Perhaps you should try ordering from ebay/qoo10? I keep seeing blazers for as low as $18 dollars with shipping.

Just fit according to your chest size and shoulder width as some retailers have nearly all their measurements on their listing.

Also, perhaps you can try one of the many Korean-like fashion shops in Bugis Junction. I can't remember the pricing, all I can remember is their largest size not fitting my chest or shoulders (42R, 20"), the stuff they sell fits thin people.

Agree. Stuff from POA and domanchi and the likes only suitable for skinny guys. Buying fr ebay qoo10 guess ok if u skinny plus mentally prepared it ends up not fitting u.

another problem is that so far, quality of stuff i bought from Qoo10 are of quite bad quality. Not to say Domanchi has good quality, but if u want to have some good control over the things u buy, better to see and feel in person.

On that note, if anyone has a chance to go Guangzhou, rem to go there and shop like mad. Really. The stuff there are good and cheap, cos a lot of asian markets import from there, which produces lots of goods, even exporting them to Korea.

I afraid of bad quality and the size is smaller than expected. Btw, those casual blazer can use for wearing formal? Or have to alter one just for formal?

I think the jacket for tshirt that you looking for (based on your earlier pics) vs a formal jacket (say for e.g. arcuate's picture in the what u wearing today thread) is quite different.

Best to get 2 separate pieces for respective occasions.

But if I want to get a suit (maybe formal one for business), I must also alter pants from that shop? So that the pants and suit(blazer) colour, design are the same?

Yes if u want a suit u should buy or tailor as a set rather than separately so that the fabric of pants and jacket will match.

The lao jiao will tell u that tailoring is a very personal experience so what works for one may not work for another. The most popular tailors being talked about here recently are KBKS and Dylan. Both are not cheap.

I think many experts do "guard" their tailor contacts closely and do not divulge much. I believe the "best" tailors are not ever mentioned here.

If u just looking for entry level suits, the names suggested before in these threads include Sze Sze and Dickson.

"In between" budget range may include the peninsula tailors, oxford tailor

I have no experience with any of these tailors when it comes to suits and still looking to make my 1st proper suit soon (hopefully). That's as much as I can help!

What about Zara suits? Workmanship good?

Workmanship is generally good.

Materials are a mixed bag. Their 100% wool label are no assurance of something that feels good.

Design is fashion forward, thin lapels and short length. Quite often with some tacky details like contrast trimming or buttonholes and white/light colored plastic buttons.
