When you buy budget, everything is the same as it will last prob 4-5 years if you're lucky just after warranty is over.

I just bought a 55" XM P1 for about 700+, which is 1/3 the price I paid for a 40" Sony 12 years ago. The Sony is still working though it looks like it may die any day, but if the XM can lasts about 4 years.. Then I'll say its worth the price I pay for it.

Older tvs have set a high benchmark when it comes to longevity.

P1 or 4S or Q series?
built in tuner also still need the antenna right?
cheapest is 4S .....

yes need antenna ...

watch mediacock ch8 only

bad point is the warranty is must ownself carry to imm and only 1 year ...... after 1year u r on your own :frown:
also self assemble the 2 stand legs , need 2 guys to do it .... slight risk of damage if anyhow unpack
plus a damn long preorder waiting time of 3 weeks

After doing some reading up, found out that new LED teebee of today are "made notch to last long" regardless of what brand chiu buy (notch sure abt other panels) .. in most cases, the panel will fail in abt 3-4 yrs .. if chiu lucky maybe can stretch till 5 yrs .. but maybe if chiu buy those "premium" eg. OLED or MLED teebee from those big brand names then can tahan longer ..

therefore moi notch interested to pay more for those big guns Sony, samsuck etc LED teebees .. normal LED enuf for moi, as moi dun watch teebee quite often anyway .. also, simi QLED OLED etc all that out of moi range as too "pricey" ..

thus, moi hv narrow down to this 2 "budget" brands TCL and Prism (local brand) .. which one of these 2 wud chiu all budget teebee users recommend ?
TCL definitely better than Prism.

TCL is actually an established brand in China using quality parts.

Note that prism is subbrand of Hisense
So you are comparing Hisense vs TCL lol
Is it really a sub brand? Or OEM rebranded?

Don't have a good impression of Prism after a terrible customer experience with them in the past. No point supporting a company that is obviously only caring about earning from you.

That is how I feel also but
The marketing here is so bad
Like sales not gaining any traction
So like if u ask for opinions....
Hardly you get much for TCL

I bought TCL 65C6US 65inch TV.
Daily use from around 11AM to 2AM.

In between those hours never really off, mostly it goes into "screen saver" picture mode.

About 2 Years still working fine.
