which action cam to buy

hi,

recently, have the urge to get a action cam to play with or maybe do v blog or take photos and video and maybe develop a hobby

the action cam which seems popular is go pro but also saw this insta360 one x2 and then i remembered sony

although it is quite old, launch in 2016 i think but it seems to be better as it has optical image stabiliser and the lens seems better than action cams and the price is a lot less compared to when it was launch and even cheaper than go pro or insta360

just wonder if anyone have same experience or face similar problem and can share their experiences,

This insta360 one x2 I believe is a 360 degree camera, means it captures 360 degrees field of view which is best for action filming (not sure if there's an option to use the single cam). I own a insta360 one & i seldom use it now due to pain & time consuming in post processing the footage.
If you do action and adventures then this is a good option as you can pan & re-frame your shots on post processing but it requires a software to do the job.
But if you're buying it for vlogging purposes, you better get a normal view action cam, I mean not the 360 degree filed of view. It's easier to manage the footage.
This is just my opinion based on my experience with the insta360 one. Hope this helps. Cheers!

DJI Osmo Pocket 2 for mechanical stabilization without blurry video stabilization effect

Go pro hero 9/10 or osmo action

Sony rx 100 (diff model have diff lens)

Any handphones with Sony IMX 682, cheapest one being poco x3 nfc which also supports 4k ultrawide and pro video mode to eliminate blurry eis.

Or can consider DJI Osmo Action, which is mini-size designed and waterproof, really recommend to buy. And a side note, I heard that DJI will launch a new action cam in 2 months, very curious to see what it looks like.

did a handheld cycling test on my insta 360 one x 2 - even the go 2 has similar stabilising see a lot of youtube say go 2 better than action 2 and cheaper - but i would say watch more video and for myself i like insta 360 devices.

action 2 i heard recently firmware update solve some of the issues they had previously
