Dear all Bros,

My Iphone 6S have battery issue, after spoken with Apple CSO over the phone and ran remote diagnostic they advise me to bring down to service centre.

As i have heard some pretty horrible story about these sub-con 3rd party apple authorised service centre.

May i know which one is the best?

Thanks in Advance

All the same, you need to be specific as to what kind of service you want?

So far for me a labs from plaza Singapura quite fast, been to a lot of different places but only plaza sing was the quickest

What's the issue with your 6S? Mine had issues with the battery dying off suddenly before the charge level hits 0%. I went to A Labs at PS last Thursday, and was served by this really rude and condescending uncle. He insisted mine was a software issue, even though I explained that the issue still persists after doing a full reset of the phone. He talked down on me and tried to make me feel like I don't know anything or that I'm trying pull a fake issue to get a replacement. The issue I mentioned even happened right in his hands, and he just dissed it off as a software issue. Left the place fuming mad. Hope you don't get served by this horrible uncle.

I got in touch with Apple Online support after this incident and the team has been very courteous and helpful to help me figure out my problem. The senior consultant from Australia spent a lot of time over the phone and online with me to understand my problem and obtained diagnostic logs from me so that he can send to the technical team to diagnose. Still waiting for the consultant to get back to me on their findings.

World of difference in Apple standards vs these 3rd party service providers. I can't wait for Apple Store to open in Singapore so I don't ever have to go to these awful 3rd party service centers. My blood still boiling thinking of that day at PS.

best if you can ask apple for express replacement, although need to pay for small fee, better this way rather than waste time at service centre.

Ouch, that customer service person sounds horrible..that's the thing about people working in this kind of line, they always think we are out asking for replacement for fun..even if phone replace it's not like as though they are paying for it!! Just do the damn replacement

I think we were served by the same dude. I went there last week. My unit was turned down initially and similar strategy, tell you stories about manufacturing that you look like someone who does not know technology. And yes, he is rude. Anyway, I insisted that he send it to Apple (the unit is under AC+.) Got the repaired unit last weekend and Apple confirmed it is a hardware fault. I am formulating now a formal complain to Apple and A.Lab about that dude. He also marked my unit as Dented/damage on the service request form, when in fact there were no dents or damage to the casing - the unit is actually pristine. :( a.-Lab is ok, as long as you don't get served by that CS.

Could really be by luck ;)

With both centers, I have mixed experience, but more inclined to go to QCD. QCD always offer me a loaner phone, whilst A.Lab never. In my experience, waiting time is almost the same, only that QCD has automated queue ticketing system whilst A.Lab is mano-a-mano (a receptionist at the door will validate first, then give you a queue ticket.)

Best is ask for express replacement from Apple (if under AC+) as suggested by GoToSea.

Mine also is a battery, phone turned off at 20ish % and wont turn back on and indicate the low batt and ask charging screen and when i charge in using the standard apple charger within 1 min it turn on but with the percentage immediately at 30ish %.

Initally i called the Apple CSO, which also ran diagnostic and advise me on updating to 9.3.5 (was on 9.0.1.2) and do a full factory reset. I did and have been using it for almost 3 weeks after the update / reset, though it has been slightly better but the symptoms still persist (used to be 70% of the time now is about 40-50% of the time).

hence this afternoon, i have called Apple CSO again, and complain again and mentioned my previous case no. After another round of remote diagnostic they again asked me to update to 10.0, this time i hot liao, i told them in iOS 10 notes they were no mentioned of patching battery drainage bug nor said there was an existing issue for battery.

whereas in 9.3.x there were mentioned meaning by 9.3.x the battery issue was already fix and why would she tell me to update and cos my warranty will be out in 13days i dont have time to check anymore.

So she said to either bring down to the service centre or pay 29 USD for return courier service and have a refurbish working set sent to me will hold-charge to my credit card the value of the phone till they receive my return unit and for them to check, then within 3 biz working days they will refund the charged amount (but they cannot promise me how long the credit card company will take to refund me), ie. Apple Service Express.

we then agreed that i should 1st send to local warranty servicing centre if they reject then she will activate the Apple Express Service. And i have managed to get her in black and while ie. email to me.

Hence to ensure smooth warranty, thats why asking which service centre better. As i stay in Bedok, I was thinking of Changi City Point (A Labs) but i am willing to travel to Boon Lay, if it means a hassle free service cos changing of battery should be less than an hour affair.

So which one ah cos both A-Labs (PS) and QCD, both i heard of scary stories leh. Anyone knows hows the service of Changi City Point?

Thanks in Bro

I went there like twice, both times, the CSO there like doubt me all. I went to the receptionist 1st, 1 pinoy lady ask me what happened. Then I explain cause tat time I bought 1 day only the touchscreen not working. I said i DFU restored everything alr, touchscreen simply cant work. Then she say, oh, that is not DFU mode, I damn hot already. I used iPhone since 3G. I'm pretty sure I can differentiate between recovery mode and DFU mode. In a nutshell, the people there are out trying to doubt you for every words you've said. They are purposely trying to make it hard for you to get an replacement. I dont know is ppl spoilt market or what, but it really affects us whom are genuinely in need of an replacement. :(

I had a good experience at A lab at Changi city point last Friday. But waiting time is bad.
Cso did a diagnosis and found that I had 3 unexpected shutdown.
Was given a replacement for my 6S on the spot as its said to be a main board issue.

Wow, we both have the same battery issue. Exactly the same symptoms. I actually had the problem ever since I bought the phone, but just live with it, cos I don't deplete the battery that often. Warranty is running out, so I thought it is better to bring it down for servicing. Do hope that they can solve the problem for me.

Haha my phone too but originally the symptoms only occured 20% of the time hence i lived with it too but it had gone from bad to worse and also cos my warranty running out (haha typical sgp) thats why want to change the battery before warranty ranout.

In fact, i hope to retain the phone and ask them to change the battery, hope is not the mobo. even though i backup but restoring is still PITA.

Just got my replacement set from QCD Wheelock.

Look like a common problem for 6S, mine were 2 sudden shutdown at 30% within a span of 2 weeks and from then onwards it starts to drain like there is no tomorrow.

Went through the motion with Apple online suppprt, remote diagnostics reported the battery is ok, thus they asked me to bring to the "authorised" repair centre.

Not much of a hassle at QCD as they loan u a temp iPhone 6 just the turnaround time is 5 working days.
