To reap the max welcome offers in shortest time, i wld join in the order:
OCBC Premier (shortest holding period),
CitiGold (next shortest) then
HSBC Premier (useful to maintain over longer term)

DBST - not much perks to shout about

cheers;)

no SCB priority? SCB and hsbc give most generous perks last time, not sure about now.

As I mentioned in another recent thread, by the time your iPhone 13 is available for collection, iPhone 14 will be out already. :s13:

looks like clear stock.
but nonetheless, still not bad as 1version old model.
the prob is there aren’t many people left that can qualify as new to bank.

Are you looking at it objectively or subjectively?

Subjectively depends on your luck....which staff attended to you on that occasion.

If the staff does not meet your sexpectatiosn, maybe she is in the middle of a divorce, bad mood, married a low ses bbfa, the lawyer told her alimony very little....every month $50.......canno0t even buy one box of mooncakes....then she gib you bad service....and you say ah! thish bank lousy!~@!$% :o

It depends on what you're looking for. I tried a few and other than the nice feeling as if you're important, there's not much benefit.

- sign on bonus cannot beat TBills
- free CC and other service charge is nice
- preferential rates if any
- RM who is useful (many aren't)

In my opinion the interesting part is when you become accredited investor, then your RM can sell you interesting products not available otherwise

Decided to go for hsbc premier, thanks all for inputs :)
Great choice. Just don’t go for DBS treasures. Service is piece of cow dung. I look down on this kind of bank. When they close many treasures centre and also try to remove RM to team, I think they already forcing their clients to leave.
To me, want to cut cost say want to cut cost. No need to talk cock say because wants to provide client better service.
Maybe most of their clients are idiot to believe this ****

I would not mind if they remove the RM. Basically they are just up market salesman.

I think a lot of ppl misunderstood what I say. I am not saying RM is essential. I also don’t mean to say treasures centre are essential. What I am trying to say is “if you want to close to cut cost, then say la. No need to BS say this will benefit customers due to simi ** team effort”. They think they are navy seals?

Also I don’t read their newspapers (waste my f time reading local papers. I only read wsj this kind). I also don’t drink their coffee, juices because I grind my own atas bean and also juice my own juice from slow juicer. As shareholders, I quite happy since they harder they jam client’s bottom, more dough for shareholders. Best if all can close and change to internet banking. If those peasant know how to internet bank, those earning $1M per year will know how to do internet banking or have their own PA to do all these chapalang chores for them. Haha
