Which desktop to buy?

Planning to buy new desktop. Currently desktop RIP suddenly.
Any good deals? For work purposes. Not gaming.

IT Show is coming this week 15/03 till 18/03 (Thursday to Friday). You can cash-and-carry from there

For productivity, any of which like Asus, Dell, Lenovo etc is fine. They would bundle in monitors and basic peripherals too for some with combo. Do check it out by then.

What kind of workload will you be doing? (AutoCAD? Photoshop/After Effects? Premiere Pro? etc)

SSD is a must, look out for that. At least 240GB with a 1TB HDD for read and write stuff.

How comparable is the dreamcore and aftershock? Especially the after sales service? Seems like aftershock price more competitive though

Components wise, Dreamcore using mainly stuff from Corbell (MSI, G.skill, Phanteks, Cryorig) which are all pretty decent stuff tbh

Aftershock on the other hand uses more budget components (Asrock, Biostar, Kingston, Zotac, OEM) but offer equivalent warranty.

So you decide what weight more to you, assuming both provide same quality of after sales service, whether price is more important, or the presentation of the build is more important.

Personally, I like Dreamcore components more and would gladly pay that slight premium to compensate the better equipment use. For people who don't really bother about the presentation of the rig and just want something that just work at a good price, then Aftershock is a no-brainer to go to.
