Which external hard disk to get?

1TB is enough but which brand should I get it from?
I don't want to put in to much money.
How do I ensure that there is no virus when I'm putting in files from my comp?

As for virus, make sure your comp is protected by security suite in the first place.

Be careful when you plug your hard disk into other comp/laptop, virus can infect your hard disk.

Well... I would say my computer CONFIRM have virus here and there. But I only want to save picture in my hard disk. Any idea how to transfer it into my hard disk if I have a brand new computer? Is there any online website where I can store my pictures first?

Why don't you upload to Dropbox and then use a new computer with security to download and save to external hard disk?
