Electric water heater too dangerous.

Prefer to use gas

Gas used to be much cheaper, electric more expensive

But buy City Gas will also pay even if not using, for maintenance

Both electricity and gas got its own dangers lah -- both equally dangerous

Electric water heater got more choices, gas heater less choices.

Gas more lasting than electric.
Both don't last very well compare to instant.

If your house is not stable in electricity, very easy to short the heating element in electric. During the lighting storm periods, I'm sure many went dead.

In either case, get ready to either have a service or replace every 5 to 10 years.

I will personally suggest go instant cause makes more sense. :o

have been contemplating between the 2 for the longest time possible :s22:

cold weather just tahan & use the cold shower

brrrrrr ... 🥶

Go old school lor -- boil water and pour into big bucket, mix with cold water until you heypi with temperature, use scoop to shower

Install instant water heater -- get licensed electtrician to do -- many places sell, easy and cheap to install, not expensive to run, plus got so many brands.

Got turn knob one

Last time had central electric water heater, then the support start to fail -- we scared will hit someone's head

At that time decided whole house to change to instant water heater instead, each bathroom got one unit now. Ish good enough for us.

Another reason for change ish the water heater area always a bit hotter than other areas of the house -- anyway got more than a few reasons, plus got some cost savings to install separate instant heaters, and instant heaters don't heat up a lot of water so save money there also

Not about the cost.

Is about the safety
